So I’ve tasked myself with scanning & recording a large box of photo albums belonging to Barnstaple Town Council.
The albums contain images dating back to the early 1900s, mostly documenting civic events, ceremonies & occasions in Barnstaple.
I hope to make them available as I scan them, uploading them in batches to this website and various Barnstaple Facebook groups etc – the wider the audience the better, as anyone who would like to browse the images ought to be able to do so easily, without having to jump through hoops.
I invite your comments & thoughts on each post or photo that I upload – it would be rather splendid to collect as many memories or thoughts as possible relating to these images. 🙂
